The ENHANCE project, funded under Erasmus+ Sport 2024, addresses an urgent and complex issue: the growing social impact of eSports among young people.
While gaming has become a dominant form of youth interaction, expression, and competition, it also gives rise to various forms of online toxicity—ranging from hate speech and racism to exclusion and bullying.
The project recognizes that video gaming environments can be both empowering and harmful, depending on how they are structured, moderated, and experienced.
Thus, ENHANCE aims to build an inclusive educational framework that allows young players (aged 16-26), as well as their families and educators, to identify risks and promote prosocial behaviours in gaming.
